Founded in 1947 by Luigi Prando, Operval began as a small workshop in Aosta. Over the years and thanks to the guidance of his son Antonio and his wife Luciana, the company expanded its field of action, becoming a recognised figure in the Aosta Valley in the repair of agricultural vehicles. In 1975, after moving to its current location, Operval began to make a name for itself in the earthmoving sector.
The third generation, represented by Andrea and Lorenzo Prando, has led Operval towards innovation, focusing on the development of radio-controlled earthmoving machinery, culminating in 2016 with the presentation of the first radio-controlled dumper at Bauma, one of the world's largest trade fairs in the construction industry. This led to the creation of a series of revolutionary products such as the PL10 radio-controlled dumper, the P14, the P08 and the ST25 Tunnel Dumper, designed specifically for confined environments such as tunnels and mines.
Operval stands out for the realisation of projects according to specific customer requests. With three registered patents and a strong emphasis on customisation of projects, the company has earned a reputation as a leader in the industry, offering tailor-made solutions that fully meet customers' needs. Its participation in Unacea and Confindustria reflects its commitment to innovation and quality.
Operval believes in the importance of young talent and actively collaborates with technical institutes and training institutions to promote innovation in the sector. This approach, together with the strong connection with the territory, has allowed Operval to develop machinery such as power wheelbarrows, dumpers and mini dumpers that stand out for their versatility, exceptional handling and ability to operate effectively on all types of terrain.
With more than 75 years of experience in mechanical engineering, Operval continues to lead innovation in the field of radio-controlled dumpers. The Prando family, with its commitment and passion, has built a legacy of excellence that promises to continue for many years to come.
